Cyriak Animator study/ Lecture

On Thursday the 26th january the famous animator cyriak did a lecture at leeds college of art,
During the lecture some of his past works were shown and he also showed his more recent works being corporate or being personal projects which he explained the thought or lack of process in designing these scenarios that are created. The way he creates the pieces are mainly his own ideas, aftereffects and photoshop which seems impossible unless you sit and study his video and realise how much work must he put into it.
The first of his video's i had seen before the lecture was known as Baaa

The one section which amazed and blew my mind is when the parts of the lamb are used as a conveyer belt to create more smaller lamb, the whole video surprised me and i didn't catch it all at the beginning but after awhile you see that everything is made with a piece of the lamb from it's ears being used as a mouth to the head used as a rotor blade.

The piece that seemed more relevant over the rest was called MEOW

the reason was due to this piece having more of a story behind it and i prefer pieces with a thought out story which always causes more work compared to just winging it.

As a practitioner he is definitely got his own style and pattern of work but i do really enjoy his pieces and i have subscribed to him and hope to see more strange and inspirational pieces in the future.
